The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Commission, Seventh Framework Programme FP7 / 2007-2013 under grant agreement no 314383
At the twice yearly General Assembly of the European School Heads Association (an EU-wide Association of National Head teachers and Deputy Headteachers, with a total membership in excess of 80,000) in Lisbon at the end of October, the FLY HIGHER PROJECT will be discussed at some length.
Members will be up-dated about the work of the project and, in particular, the Competitions for Schools and the five Tutorials on Aeronautics designed to give teachers “ready-made lessons” and substantial resources to support them in schools. The Tutorials introduce aeronautical concepts and both the history and the science behind humans’ ability to fly – something that remains a mystery to most people!
More information on the school Competitions is available on the website.
